Able to read music / charts and has the ability to improvise. 

Starting out learning drums from Guitar Hero in 2008, Alastair took six years of lessons throughout highschool from John Trotter (Manfred Man’s Earth Band, Greenslade). After exhausting all learning material, he left a versitile and well founded drummer, but continued to hone in progressive and heavy styles.

Influenced by players such as Jeff Porcaro, Mike Portnoy, Matt Garstka, Anderson Paak.
Alastair completed the Advanced Diploma of Sound Production at Leederville TAFE in 2022, taught by some of Perth’s best regarded music industry professionals.
Alastair left TAFE as a member of five original music bands, performing once a week on-average across Perth venues.

Some of his accomplishments include:
– Played Wave Rock Weekender Festival and appearing on the Telethon Broadcast with SOLARA
– Produced and mixed “Bad Enough” by Die, July (see “other link”)
– Experience in the studio, having performed on over 20 songs
