Music has always been an integral part of my life, having musicians as parents. My formal training in classical violin started from the age of five, and as a teenager I began immersing myself in different musical genres and settings, experimenting with different instruments, and also exploring how violin could be incorporated in new and unusual ways. This included the use of electric and extended range violins, electronic effects, looping, etc.
I’m currently in my 3rd year at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), studying a Bachelor of Jazz Performance (on violin). But also still play in orchestras, and currently record and perform with an eclectic mix of ensembles, across many genres.
My approach to music making is ever evolving, and stems from diverse inspirations, a love of improvisation, and the belief that participation in diverse musical settings has intrinsic value as a bridge of cultural exchange.
In the studio setting, I strive to work efficiently, and provide tracks that authentically deliver and/or complement your creative vision. This can include collaboration/assistance in formulating parts, improvising, as well as delivering on any pre-established material.
